About the Role

House of Finance and Tech Berlin (HoFT) is growing, and with that growth comes a higher demand for strategic depth in our client relationships. We are looking for an experienced individual who will not only manage our most important memberships but develop them as their own business: building relationships across multiple levels within member organizations, identifying strategic growth potential, and offering solutions before the client even recognizes the need.

You will own a portfolio of strategic members end-to-end. You manage it in a data-driven way, work with structured sales methodologies, and consistently rely on modern AI-powered tools to analyze, prioritize, and develop accounts efficiently.

This is not an administrative or event role. We are looking for a person with sales DNA, a strategic perspective, a strong affinity for AI, and the ability to deliver results independently in an international, fast-growing environment.

Your Qualifications

Distribution of responsibilities: Approx. 70% strategic account management & revenue development, approx. 30% ecosystem development & representation.

Strategic Account Management & Revenue Responsibility (Core)

  • You own a portfolio of 15–25 strategic member organizations end-to-end, including revenue, renewal, and growth targets.
  • You create an individual account plan for each key account, including a stakeholder map, whitespace analysis, growth targets, and timeline, and track its execution on a quarterly basis.
  • You systematically identify and realize upselling and cross-selling potential: tier upgrades, additional services, sponsoring packages, advisory board seats, and speaking slots.
  • You initiate and coordinate tenders (RFPs), project awards, and concrete business opportunities with suitable members and potential leads, in close coordination with management and business development.
  • You conduct structured Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with your most important members, including target/actual comparison, KPI review, joint roadmap adjustment, and binding next steps.
  • You proactively manage renewal processes along a clear timeline and ensure early risk identification for at-risk memberships.

Pipeline Management & Sales Discipline

  • You maintain a clean, up-to-date pipeline in the CRM (HubSpot) with a clear status, next steps, expected value, and close date for every opportunity.
  • You qualify members and opportunities according to a structured methodology (MEDDIC/MEDDPICC) and use scoring models to prioritize your portfolio.
  • You actively participate in sales reviews, commit to quarterly targets, and report pipeline progress transparently.
  • You work independently with account tiering (Must Win / Key Influencer / Monitor) and prioritize your time according to potential and risk.

AI-Powered Way of Working & Efficiency

  • You actively use AI tools in your daily work: for account research, briefing preparation, content creation, data analysis, and the automation of recurring tasks.
  • You deploy AI-powered CRM features and scoring models to identify engagement, churn risk, and upselling potential early and to act on a data-driven basis.
  • You are open to new technologies and actively drive the integration of AI solutions into existing workflows, rather than waiting for instructions.

Ecosystem Development & Relationship Building

  • You build relationships within member organizations across multiple levels (C-level, HR, innovation, corporate finance) and ensure that HoFT is not dependent on a single point of contact.
  • You identify synergies between members and actively initiate collaborations that increase the network value for everyone involved.
  • You proactively monitor market and industry developments affecting your accounts and bring in topics, solutions, and contacts before the client articulates the need themselves.

Stakeholder Management & Representation

  • You represent HoFT at selected conferences, roundtables, and industry panels with substantive depth.
  • You feed member feedback into internal product development in a structured way and act as a bridge between the market and the organization.


What We're Looking For

  • 5+ years of experience in key account management, strategic account management, or enterprise sales (ideally DACH)
  • Demonstrable success in upselling, cross-selling, and renewal management with enterprise clients
  • Experience with structured sales methodologies (MEDDIC, MEDDPICC, Challenger Sale, etc.)
  • Confident handling of CRM systems (HubSpot preferred) and data-driven pipeline management
  • Demonstrable experience with AI tools in a professional context (incl. AI-powered CRM/analytics tools)
  • Understanding of the financial services industry, FinTech ecosystems, or adjacent sectors
  • Basic technical understanding for credible conversations at C-level
  • Very good German and English (C1+)
  • Existing network in finance, HR, insurance, or FinTech (DACH)
  • Experience in membership, association, or ecosystem organizations
  • Experience with international stakeholders and matrix organizations
  • Experience building AI-powered workflows and automations (e.g., with N8N, Make, Zapier)
  • Experience initiating and managing tender processes (RFPs)
  • Berlin location or willingness to relocate there
